Championship Manager 17 is a sports management game where you can select the soccer team you want from among more than 20 different leagues, with the aim of leading them to victory.
At the beginning of the game, you can choose from more than 450 real teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan, Juventus, and so on. Of course, you can also start out with a more modest team, or one of the many lower league divisions. In fact, you'll need a coach medal before you can work directly the best teams.
Once you have your team then comes the hard part: managing everything related to the club. In Championship Manager 17 you decide your team's strategy, make lineups, choose penalty kickers, plan practices, do signings, work with the board of directors, check your players' form, etc. It's a lot of work that's only fit for the most serious soccer fans.
During the games you can watch a 2D simulation of the match – very similar to what you'd traditionally see in games from the Football Manager saga – to help give you a good idea of how your team plays. Plus you can make strategy changes in real time.
Championship Manager 17 is an excellent soccer manager game that not only has a detailed gameplay, but also includes the real names of teams and players. This means you can use real teams, participate in real competitions, and obviously play with real talent.
